Amber

September 18, 2016 by CVRR

Ever since since I could crawl and walk animals had always been my point of attention. I was constantly crawling under porches, sheds, wood piles, you name it to rescue kittens and any other critter I could find that needed help. Fast forward 20 years later and not a single thing has changed. I'm always the first to pull over on a busy highway with a leash to grab that dog in … [Read more...]

The Muhoro Family

September 18, 2016 by CVRR

Hi, my name is Emily! I have one resident dog and her name is Ellie.  She is an English Mastiff and basically my child.  Yes, I am THAT dog-mom and no, I am not ashamed. I started volunteering by fostering dogs in 2014, for Christian Service credit when I was a student at Liberty University. Laura (our founder) works at the vet’s office that I take my dog to and she is … [Read more...]

Give Me a Chance, I Think You Might Like Me!

March 28, 2016 by CVRR

I went to story time at the library today with my one year old son. While I thought maybe Charlie and I MIGHT make friends there today I'm afraid I was THAT mom. While trying to get my son and I ready I found out story time was starting earlier than I had thought. So I just threw on the clothes from the dryer that had not dried yet, really they were there first pants and shirt … [Read more...]

As a kid I spent my days building makeshift agility courses for my family dogs...boxes duct taped in a row for tunnels, and 2x4’s precariously balanced across cement blocks as jumps. My dogs were my constant companions on every adventure and my trusted allies….partners in mischief. Several decades later and not much has changed. I got involved in rescue about 5 years … [Read more...]

I'm Cassie. I am an insurance agent, and a youth leader at my church. I have four dogs, Loki and Jackson came from my local spca, Ava came from the litter that got me into fostering, and Bindi is my foster failure. I also have three cats, I rescued Harper out of a barn at 4 weeks old, Evan I got from a friend of a friend who was rehoming him, and Vader I … [Read more...]

Moseley, “Mose,” or “Mo-Mo” is a truly special dog. At 2–3 years old, he has a calm and steady temperament with just the right amount of playful energy. He enjoys running in the yard, keeping watch over the perimeter—keeping an eye out for squirrels, rabbits, and groundhogs. He protects my garden from these worrisome visitors. He’s incredibly loyal and loving. Moseley gives a few warning barks when someone approaches the door, but once guests are inside, he welcomes them warmly. He’s especially gentle and affectionate with children and truly enjoys being part of a family.Inside our home, he’s respectful and easygoing. His best friend is Ducky the cat, and their quiet companionship is a joy to witness. Moseley will sometimes give chase, but only when Ducky invites it. Though he has access to furniture, he typically prefers his own bed—this photo is a rare moment when he made an exception.Moseley has been patiently waiting for the right match. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick treatment. His adoption fee is $225.If you are looking for a loyal, gentle dog with a kind heart and steady presence, Moseley may be the one. To meet him, please apply at cvrrescue.org.He deserves a home where he can be loved as deeply as he loves in return. ... See MoreSee Less
