Smudge is a friendly, affectionate girl who loves to be picked up and will beg to be held a million times a day! At four years old, she gives the best hugs and will meow back to just about anything you say. Her favorite toy is a stuffed pickle (she gives it and her toy mice baths almost every day), and her favorite beds are piles of shoes or on top of cabinets.Smudge is great with kids, and she has previously lived with cats and done great with them, but recently she's had trouble adapting to new cats and has been aggressive toward them, so she may do well as the only cat in the home.Apply to adopt her here: www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/Visit her adoption profile for more photos and information: www.cvrrescue.org/adoptable-animals/#action_0=pet&animalID_0=21525009 ... Courtesy Post for Roxie ~There is a gentle, amber-eyed dog named Roxie who longs for the security of a forever home and the steady rhythm of a family’s love. She is young, healthy, and already spayed—kept current on every vaccine, protected year-round against heartworm, fleas, and ticks, with complete records we can share. Roxie has lived indoors, sharing close quarters in an apartment and greeting each new morning with leash walks. Inside, she is house-trained and turns her entire body into an embrace: she melts into your side on the couch, rests her head on your lap, and finds her calmest joy simply being near her person. Outdoors, a tennis ball or game of tug brings out her bright spirit and contagious energy. This loving girl is also strong—both in body and in her devotion. Because she can be protective of food and unsure around unfamiliar guests at first, Roxie will thrive with an adopter who can guide her with patience, structure, and positive reinforcement. She has met a few dogs and even a cat politely, yet slow introductions will help her feel safe. We are unsure how she responds to young children, so a home with adults or older teens is recommended. Her occasional itchiness points to possible allergies; the right family will be willing to partner with a veterinarian to keep her comfortable.Roxie’s current owner is facing unexpected health challenges and must find her a new home within the next two to three weeks. Although they will foster her during this time, they cannot give her the lifetime of stability she deserves. If you have space in your heart and a quiet corner of your home, Roxie is ready to fill it with unwavering affection. To learn more or arrange a meeting, please email adopt@cvrr.org or message us directly—CVRR will connect you with her owner so you can verify details and take the next step toward welcoming Roxie home. Please apply for Roxie at cvrrescue.org This is a courtesy listing. Roxie is not in CVRR’s physical care; all information has been provided by her owner and should be confirmed by prospective adopters. ... See MoreSee Less
